    Your order is cut and stitched, stage by stage.

    Check and press

    Every piece is checked and ironed before it leaves.

    Shipped

    You follow each stage in your portal until it ships.

How it is made

From the roll to the rail.

  1. Fabric: It starts on our shelves. Every print begins as a roll, kept in stock in the colours you choose.
  2. Pattern: Paper first. The pattern is laid out and marked before the first cut.
  3. Cutting: Cut along the line. The cloth is cut by hand, following the chalk.
  4. Stitching: Seam by seam. Each piece moves from machine to machine until it holds its shape.
  5. Pressing: Pressed. Steam and a heavy iron give every piece its final line.
  6. Checking: Checked. Every seam, lace and tassel is checked. What is not right goes back for repair.
  7. Ready: Ready for your rail. Then it ships, and you follow it in your portal.

Our story

OM KASHI is a fabric and garment house in Pushkar, Rajasthan. We keep our own stock of kasturi and Indian silk and make garments for brands, from the first sample to the packed carton.

The building was planned around the people who visit it. You come in through a quiet lounge with a round window, pass reception and step into a showroom of cobalt, steel and glass, with collections hanging along every wall.

Behind the showroom are the meeting room, the offices and a bright cafeteria. A buyer can spend the whole day here: going through fabrics with our team, then agreeing prices and dates around one table.

Pushkar, Rajasthan

Pushkar is a small town built around a lake, about 15 km from Ajmer and 150 km from Jaipur.

Pilgrims come all year for the ghats and for the Brahma temple, one of the few in the world dedicated to Brahma. Every autumn the Pushkar Fair fills the edge of town with camel traders and visitors.

This is where we make our garments.
